Iquitos Malnutrition Crisis Project
Peru • June 29 – July 3, 2026

About the Project
This June, A Thousand Ways will travel to Iquitos, Peru — a remote Amazon city accessible only by air or river. In many native communities along the Amazon River basin, families face serious barriers to accessing nutritious food, healthcare, and preventive support, especially for children who need help most urgently.
What We Will Do
Our project will combine malnutrition screening, medical therapies, community education, and support for local healthcare providers. By meeting families where they are, we aim to reach the children who are often overlooked — especially those living far from resources and without regular access to services.
Our Goal
We want this to be more than short-term relief. Our goal is to strengthen local capacity so that families and communities can continue protecting their children long after our team has returned home. With every contribution, we help provide essential supplies, support training for local caregivers, and work toward ensuring that no child is left behind because of preventable causes.
Join The Mission
We invite you to be part of this mission. Your generosity can transform lives — one child, one family, and one community at a time. Together, we can bring hope and healing to Iquitos and beyond.
